What's improved

Updating users via the API is slow in some use-cases

  • Depending on the configuration of the admin roles and the structures we sometimes saw slow response times for the functional API when updating users. We've greatly enhanced the performance in several use-cases for this specific API. We will continue to introduce performance improvements, where possible and applicable, for all use-cases.

What's fixed

The response for /api/v1/user/{userID} is in the wrong format

  • The functional API for updating users showed a SCIM-like response instead of a RITM response. This has now been corrected and is in-line with other API responses (e.g. /api/v1/users/managed-identities).

A delegated administrator cannot remove the last group membership of a user via the API

  • The functional API for updating users returned an error whenever a delegated administrator tried to remove the last group membership of a managed identity via the API. We now correctly allow this last group to be removed via the API.

Administrators can assign roles in context even if the managed user is not a member of that context

  • For customers that are using the multi-company feature, we allowed the administrators to assign a role in context without checking if the user was actually a member of that context (e.g. group). We now restrict the context, both via the RITM UI and RITM API, to the group memberships of the user that is being managed.
